Teen Lounge | Rocky Mountain Children’s Hospital

Designed as a restorative retreat for long-term teen patients, this lounge provides a much-needed sense of autonomy, comfort, and escape within a clinical environment. The space balances emotional support with functionality, drawing on biophilic and neurodivergent-informed design principles to foster calm, creativity, and connection.

Soft geometries, layered textures, and a muted, nature-inspired palette establish a soothing visual language. Rounded forms and tactile materials enhance sensory comfort, while subtle references to nature help reduce stress and promote relaxation.
