Interior design isn’t just about aesthetics. Done well, it’s a powerful tool for transformation not only of space, but of value. For many people, their home is their most significant financial asset. Remodeling or building isn’t just a creative journey; it’s a strategic investment that requires foresight, skill, and vision.

At re.dzine, I specialize in helping homeowners unlock the full potential of their properties whether through a comprehensive renovation or from the ground up. By blending Scandinavian sensibilities with a deep understanding of flow, functionality, and emotional resonance, I help elevate homes into timeless spaces that also command attention on the market.

The Preserve Lane Project: From $2M to $6.3M

A perfect case in point of my residential work is The Preserve Lane a home that has now gone through two rounds of transformation under my direction.

In 2020 when I was first brought in, the home was appraised at $2 million. It had great bones, but felt dated, disconnected, and lacked a cohesive flow. Over the course of 1.5 years, I led an extensive renovation that focused on strategic interior architecture, custom millwork, material harmony, and layered, thoughtful design. The result? The home sold for $4.5 million in less than a week a remarkable testament to the power of design.

Before & After

The story didn’t end there. The new owner, captivated by the design details, brought me back in 2023 to take the home even further. Phase two included a gracefully curved staircase, two art gallery walls/ areas, an expanded primary suite with custom closets, and cleverly concealed storage rooms designed to surprise and delight. Every decision was made with a blend of beauty and utility in mind, tailored to the client while still enhancing the home’s broad market appeal.

Today, the home is back on the market this time listed at $6.3 million.

What Makes the Difference?

Design, when strategically curated, adds more than style. It adds measurable value. Here's how:

Deliberate Use of Space

A well-designed layout enhances flow, function, and comfort. Even modest homes can feel expensive when every inch is optimized. I analyze not just square footage, but how people move, gather, and live designing interiors that feel intuitive and effortless.

Cohesive Materiality

Choosing the right materials and finishes is about more than trend. It’s about selecting elements that will age gracefully, elevate the architecture, and resonate emotionally. My Nordic roots influence a preference for natural textures, enduring craftsmanship, and quiet luxury qualities that buyers instinctively respond to.

Highlighting Architectural Features

Thoughtful design draws the eye to a home’s strengths framing views, showcasing natural light, and emphasizing unique elements like fireplaces or sculptural ceilings. Simultaneously, design can subtly correct or downplay fewer desirable aspects, creating a balanced and beautiful composition.

Emotional Impact

A home isn’t just seen it’s felt. The best interiors evoke ease, comfort, and curiosity. Through layered lighting, intuitive zoning, and curated palettes, I design spaces that feel alive and welcoming. Buyers aren’t just looking for a house. They’re seeking a feeling — and great design delivers exactly that.

Intelligent Investment

Many homeowners assume that bringing in an interior designer is a luxury. But in reality, it’s one of the smartest investments they can make. My role isn’t just to make things look good it’s to ensure your home is thoughtfully conceived, market-aware, and built to stand the test of time. I align beauty with ROI.
